Parenting asks a lot of our bodies. Lifting, carrying, bending, moving, often in moments when we’re stretched to our limits. At Able Mama, we believe that every parent deserves gear that moves with them, not against them.
Born from lived experience, Able Mama designs smart, adaptable products that make everyday moments easier, whether you’re recovering postpartum, navigating mobility challenges, or just managing the beautiful chaos of parent life.
Our first product began with a simple frustration: how hard it can be to lift a stroller into the trunk of a car. What started as one mom’s problem became a mission, to create inclusive gear that empowers parents of all abilities to move with confidence and independence.

FounderHi, I’m Emily Neil, a mom, health advocate, and believer that the products we use every day should serve our bodies, not the other way around.
The idea for Able Mama was born out of my own experience as a mom living with a chronic illness and navigating life after a premature birth. Simple tasks, like lifting a stroller into my car, often felt impossible. And I realized I wasn’t alone. Parents recovering from birth, managing chronic pain, or living with disabilities face countless barriers that most baby gear simply doesn’t consider.
So I set out to change that.
